Stock shortages - since the lockdown we have been having difficulties getting stock. Some factories have closed and others are operating on reduced hours. Shipping is also affected. Where possible we have sourced alternative products.
In Victorian times a child was expected to bring their own cloth or sponge to school to clean their slate.
Modern children have not had to develop that habit so if you are holding a Victorian day using slates you will need to provide slate cloths. These cloths are made of cream flannelette and are rough torn at the edges, representative of the rags used in Victorian times. The size of each cloth varies slightly.
